We opted for steak and chips with all the trimmings. The meal was excellent in fact far better than we had previously at the Abbey Hotel. Comment: Hi, we have just reurned from touring Cavan / Monaghan and whilst driving around we took the trek to Harkin's because we had visited many years ago. The staff {family run} are still as friendly as ever and make you feel welcome. It's refreshing to see. Comment: Hello Mary, we poped into Harkin's Bar a week past Tuesday, when we were over visiting friends and came to see if we could find ant trace of my Grandmother in Brockagh. You made us very welcome and we enjoyed the crack!I've discovered that my grandmother (Mary O'Donnell)was granddaughter of Francis O'Donnell and Catherine Coyle. Wondered if there was any relation to the Coyles you mentioned! They would have been born 1820's - 30's.Wonder, too if Cahill Bonnar had an e-mail address so I can contact him?
